Economic impact found in Ely Echo’s annual Progress Editions, new website
This is the second week of our annual twopart look at progress in the Ely area. This year featured 27 pages of stories and photos on businesses in the area. There’s lots to read again this week.
In addition to our printed copies, the Ely Echo has a new website that made its debut this past week. While we are still making improvements, we believe the new site is more visual and viewer friendly.
This was a project months in the making, from meeting with different companies at the Minnesota Newspaper Convention at the beginning of February to selecting a format that would work for us to populating it with stories, photos and video.
Our email subscribers will notice changes this week as well. We’ve been working to make it easier to view the paper on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Whether you view Ely Echo pages online or download them as a PDF, there’s an improved visual product for you to enjoy.
For those who only received the paper version through the U.S. Post Office, here’s some great news: You can now sign up to view the online version at no extra charge. If you are already a print subscriber, shoot us an email at [email protected] with your name and we will get you set up online. All new print subscriptions purchased through the website will be set up automatically.
We also debuted the first installment of an Ely Echo podcast, posted on elyecho.com and available to listen to without charge. Look for new podcasts on a regular basis from Echo Publisher Nick Wognum and Editor Tom Coombe as they talk about issues that impact the Ely area.
