Ironwomen take first division match

After gaining their first division victory, the Vermilion Ironwomen took a step back on Wednesday night.
Former Northeast Range Nighthawk Brielle Wills led the way as the Lady Norse downed the Ironwomen 25-16, 25-17, 25-19 in Northern Division action.
Wills hammered home 13 kills and notched threee ace serves as Mesabi climbed back over the .500 mark in division play.
The Ironwomen, who beat Fond du Lac during a weekend homestand, have lost eight of nine division encountrs.
While Wills powered the Lady Norse at the net, another former Northeast Range standout - Taneesha Dupree - helped combine with Taija Harju for 34 set assists.
Vermilion was also swept by Itasca Saturday, but the night before the Ironwomen got their only division win so far - a 25-5, 25-10, 25-19 sweep of Fond du Lac.
