Mid-November before County 88 bridge opening

Looking south on County 88, Grant McMahan Boulevard, one see puddles but not much river as workers prepare for the cement pour. Once that is done, there will be a 30 day wait for the concrete to cure and be able to take the weight of vehicles and trucks. Meanwhile area residents in the Burntside and north Shagawa Lake area must still drive added miles to Ely. Plus this weekend the two Ely Marathon runs will shut down Echo Trail and the southeast portion of 88 as well as many Ely streets and avenues for runners.
