A Picture Worth a Thousand Words: Much has been written lately about how sulfate discharges from mines may stunt wild rice growth. Here is a photo of wild rice on Birch Lake (Dunka Bay) “stunted” by sulfate discharges in the Dunka River from the Dunka and Northshore mines.
