William“Bill” K. Loe, 77, dies

William“Bill” K. Loe, 77 passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2017 at Little Hospice in Edina. He died from complications of ALS. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry. He is survived by wife, Alice; son, Mark (Skye); daughter, Jessica; granddaughter, Kiley; brother, Rodney (Mae Kathryn); sister, Janice (Arvid) Behrens and many nieces and nephews.
Bill attended school in Slayton and Ely, MN. He worked at Reserve Mining in Babbitt and owned and operated the Dray Freight Line in Ely for several years until he graduated from Ely Jr. College, and then went onto St. Cloud State University to graduate Summa Cum Laude. He pursued his career in human relations and labor negotiations with several corporations domestically and internationally.
In later years he owned and successfully operated a para medical business. He also was a certified appraiser of classic autos.
Bill loved to sing and hear people laugh at his Ole and Lena stories. He enjoyed riding his Harley, tinkering with unique cars and keeping all of his cars the shiniest in town.
He was proud to be a Marine Corps vet. We are so blessed to have had him in our lives.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held 11 am Monday, December 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2060 County Road 6, Long Lake. Visitation 3-5 pm Sunday at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. and 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Little Hospice or Timber Bay-Mentor for Life.
