PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE<BR><BR>The City of Ely Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing for a variance request on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 6:30 PM in the Card Room of the Ely Community Center (Room 123, 30 S. 1st Ave. E). The property owner is Queen City Federal S & L. This property is described, in part, as Unit 4, including the underlying 50% interest to the common area, parcel id. 030-0053-00040, (102 E. Sheridan St.). Queen City Federal S & L is requesting a variance from section 14.08, Subd. 3C, which sets a maximum square footage for a projecting sign at 24 square feet. Queen City Federal S & L is requesting a variance to update the current antiquated sign with a sign the same size, which is 32 sq. ft. All interested parties will be heard at this hearing. If you are unable to attend the hearing but wish to comment, you may do so in writing and either mail your comments to or drop them off at City Hall, 209 E. Chapman St., Ely, or by calling the Planning and Zoning office at 365-3224, ext. 313.
