PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE<BR><BR>The City of Ely Planning Commission has initiated an amendment to the Official City Code, as per Section 11.45 of the City Code. The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 6:45 PM in the Card Room of the Ely Community Center (Room 123, 30 S. 1st. Ave. E.) to consider a request for a rezoning of property. The property to be rezoned is owned by John Juranitch. Juranitch owns property descibed as; Part of SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of S27/T63/R12W, beginning 399.03' north and 33' west of the SE corner, thence west 143.42', thence north 300', thence east 147', thence south parallel to east line of said forty 300.02' to the point of beginning, parcel id 030-0500-00207 (303 N. 17th Ave. E). The property is currently zoned Residential 2 (R2), and Juranitch is proposing to rezone the property to Industrial & Related (M). All interested parties will be heard at this hearing. If you are unable to attend the hearing but wish to comment, you may do so in writing and either mail your comments to or drop them off at City Hall, 209 E. Chapman St., Ely, or by calling the Planning and Zoning office at 365-3224, ext. 313.
