Dardanella R. Pollock, 95, of Jefferson City, Mo., dies

Dardanella  R. Pollock, 95, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Heisinger Bluffs.
Dardanella was born July 3, 1918 in Ely, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Popovich Milkovich.  She was married on December 7, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to Lt. Colonel Carl A. Pollock who preceded her in death in 2002.
She graduated from Ely Memorial High School and has been a resident of the Jefferson City area for the past fifty years.
A homemaker, she had been employed with the Cole County Clerk’s office for several years.
Dardanella was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, the Jefferson City Newcomers, the X-Club, and numerous bridge clubs.
Survivors include two sons: Allen Pollock and his wife Pat of Jefferson City, MO and Jack Pollock and his wife Sharon of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Katherine Burgoyne of Minneapolis, Minnesota; five grandchildren: Jennifer Schnieders and her husband Jay of Jefferson City, MO; Zach Pollock and his wife Ann of Jefferson City, MO; Patrick Pollock of Jefferson City, MO; LT(JG) Matthew Pollock, USN, Norfolk, Virginia, and Meghan Pollock of Cincinnati, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Archer Schnieders, Dawson Schnieders, Tucker Schnieders and Violet Pollock; two nieces, Loretta Glum, Marsha Banovetz and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson William Pollock, brother, Joseph Milkovich, and six sisters: Mary Edwards, Martha Banovetz, Helen Dargis, Dorothy Nichols, Ann Sunby and Pauline Bonn.
Visitation will be at the Cathedral of St. Joseph from 10:30 until 11:30 am Monday, June 9, 2014.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 am Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Reverend Dylan Schrader officiating.  Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Helias Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
