Barry Williams, 75, of Ely, dies

Funeral services will be held on Friday

Barry Edward Williams, 75, of Ely, died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, November 26, 2016 at home.
He was born on March 20, 1941 in Ely to Edward and Hannah (Klobuchar) Williams
Barry was a proud veteran having served in the U.S.Air force
Barry was an active member of Ely United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman, Barry loved fishing, hunting, camping, and being outdoors anytime he could.
Barry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda; children: Douglas (Rhonda) Williams, Michelle Cole, and Steven (Kris) Williams; grandchildren: Casey (Mason) Swain, Dylan (Alisha) Williams, Jessica Cole, Alicia Cole, Travis Cole, Bryan (Alexandra) Cole, Matthew Cole, Tyler Williams, Tanner Williams, Kylie Williams, and Kendall Williams; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Mary) Williams, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marcia and Paul Buresh, sisters-in-law: Marie Williams and Mary Wheeland.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Williams and Hannah (John) Vukelich and his brother, Ronald Williams.
The Williams family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Randall Millikan and Essentia Health and their wonderful team of health care providers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Ely at 11:00 a.m. with visitation being held one hour prior to the service at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
