The Ely Area Broadband Coalition and the Ely Economic Development Authority are seeking proposals from building owners in the downtown area to facilitate the creation of a technology center / collaborative work space. The Ely Area is a Blandin Broadband Community and will be requesting grant funds to facilitate the contract. The intent of this project is to create a shared work space and to provide necessary infrastructure and broadband resources that may not exist for many small business owners or those that work from home. The space must include an available conference room, shared common space, and space available for cubicles or offices. The space should be flexible to be reconfigurable depending on members needs. Minimum requirements include: 1) Must have access to internet 2) Existing staffing to share for receptionist tasks 3) Be ready to rent within thirty days 4) Be willing to commit the space for a minimum of two years.
