Christopher Lawrence Kerr, 52, dies

Christopher Lawrence Kerr, 52, died in his home on Friday May 11, 2018, in Waleska, GA.
He was born to Duncan and Janice (Seelen) Kerr on October 31, 1964 in Two Harbors, MN. He graduated from J. F. Kennedy High School in Babbitt, MN in 1983. He graduated from Staples Technical School in 1985 with a degree in Graphic Arts. Although he was an extremely talented artist, his passion for horses drew him to a career in the equine industry as a farrier. He became a well respected journeyman farrier and practiced his profession in Georgia, making this beautiful state his home. He was loved and will be missed very much by family and friends.
He is survived by: Brother - Charles (Chuck) Kerr; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and cousins. He is also survived by his adopted Georgia family: Best friend - Chase New; Lauren Turner; Steve Saye; Teresa Boatright; and the farrier community brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Lavina Kerr, his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Lena Kachmarzinski, and his mother and father.
