Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by delivery, mail, or email at the Office of Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps, ATTN: Jessica Fortney, 6004 London Road, Duluth, MN 55804, or, until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019; for the Halfway Ranger Station in Ely, MN, at which time bids will be privately acknowledged and tabled for further review.

All bids must be sealed and clearly marked, “BID FOR: HALFWAY RANGER STATION”, along with bidder’s name, and must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the net base bid amount, payable to the Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps and furnish the usual bonds (Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond) as required by the Specifications within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of Contract.

Bid Documents (plans and specifications) will be available electronically beginning February 25, 2019. Free access to the plans & specifications may be obtained by contacting: DSGW Architects, Inc., (218) 471-2000. Bid Documents may also be examined at the builders exchanges of: Duluth Builders Exchange; Hibbing Builders Exchange; Minnesota Builders Exchange; Construction Market Data and Dodge Data & Analytics. Pre-printed plans and specifications will not be provided.

No Bidder shall modify, withdraw, or cancel his Bid or any part thereof for thirty (30) days after the time designated for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids and to waive any defects, irregularities or information in any proposal or bid, and to award the contracts to other than the lowest bidder, if in their discretion the interests of the project will be best served thereby.

This project shall meet compliance requirements of the Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office.

Performance/Payment Bonds are required.

Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements will be required for all workers employed at the site.

MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6th, 2019, at the site.
