A nationally-recognized speaker is set to deliver the keynote address at an annual event sponsored by the Ely Chamber of Commerce.
Lynne Jensen Nelson, a former Fortune 500 company manager who founded an organization to inspire groups to excel and reach their potential, will speak Tuesday at Grand Ely Lodge for the “Smile, You’re in Ely” event put on by the Ely Chamber of Commerce.
Social hour begins at 5 p.m., with a dinner to follow and a program starting at 6:30 p.m.
Now in its 28th year, the Chamber “Smile” event includes a social, dinner and program at Grand Ely Lodge (5 p.m.) and serves as an annual meeting of sorts for the business organization..
Organizers annually choose a speaker to deliver an engaging and often inspirational message, and this year they’ve turned to Nelson.
A former educator and athletics and fine arts coach, Nelson later obtained a master’s degree in communication and went into sales, rising through the ranks until she reached executive status.
She later founded Conversion-omics, an organization designed to inspire groups to excel and reach their full potential.
Nelson has become nationally-known as a speaker who specializes “in active brand management, communication strategies and business strategy coaching.”
She is set to share information “designed to assist business owners in identifying their unique points, which becomes the focus for marketing and branding their business.”
In addition to the keynote speech, the Chamber ‘Smile’ event will include updates from various Chamber boards and the presentation of awards annually given by the business organization, including the winners of the Jackpine Bob Cary Community Spirit and Good Neighbor Business awards.
