Highway 169 road construction south of Tower underway

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has started construction work on Highway 169 south of Tower.
The $3.4 million project will include removal of a box culvert at the West Two River. Traffic will be at reduced speeds, restricted to 12’ width, and shifted onto the highway shoulder.
About 6.8 miles of pavement will be resurfaced in this project between the Pike River Bridge and Highway 135.
In August, motorists can expect milling and paving operations with single lane traffic and a pilot car.
