Joel M. Hasz

Joel M. Hasz, age 60, a resident of Arbor Vitae, WI, passed away at his home Saturday, February 25, 2023.  He was born May 7, 1962, in Lansing, IL to parents Howard and Norma Hasz. 

Joel graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Communications degree. He worked spreading God’s love while working at Campus Crusade for Christ followed by Mission Media in Idaho. Back in Wisconsin he started his own ministry AdMission using media to spread the gospel.  From there he pastored at Ledge Rock Church  in Ely, MN.  Most recently he preached at a church in Ironwood, MI and drove for a medical transportation company out of Rhinelander, WI.  Joel was a collector of all things having to do with nature.  He loved fishing and listening to The Beatles.  Joel’s greatest love though was sharing the gospel and spending time with his family. 

Joel was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his children: Marshall, Taylor, Ethan and Madi Hasz; siblings: Michele Hasz and Jeffrey Hasz; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many many friends whose lives he touched.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 2:00pm at Nimsgern Funeral and Cremation Services in Woodruff, WI.  Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
