Marilynn Mazva

Marilynn Lee Mazva, 76, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, February 25.  Marilynn was born to Michael and Gertrude Trlak in Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and soulmate Tom.

Marilynn is survived by her four siblings, Mickey, June, Bill (Dona) and Ed (Jan).  She also leaves her children, Tammy Kisch of Ely and Michael (Janelle) Terrance of Naperville, Illinois.  Grandma Mar leaves behind the three joys of her heart, Elizabeth (Riley) Kisch, Thomas (Erin) Terrance and Abigail Terrance.

Marilynn and Tom were married in Chicago in 1978. They moved to Ely in 1982 when they purchased Jackie’s Liquor.  After selling the business in the late 90’s, they moved to Las Vegas for a few years before returning to their adopted hometown of Ely.  Marilynn worked at many local restaurants where she topped off many a cup of coffee in her 40+ years in Ely.

Her family finds peace in knowing she is back in the arms of her beloved soulmate Tom.

Family arrangements have been entrusted to Kerntz Funeral Home of Ely.
