American Legion Auxiliary revived in Ely

LEGION AUXILIARY IS BACK - Carol Pengal and Patti Buffington of the revived Ely American Legion Post 248 Auxiliary presented a check to Anne Oelke, principal of Washington Elementary School, for the school’s new playground. The Auxiliary has also made contributions to Veterans on the Lake and the Silver Bay Veterans Home, and will be resuming the Auxiliary tradition of bringing apples to elementary school teachers in November.
