Northeast Range represented at first Clay Target National Championships

Austin Meskill, Alex Motes, Kenny Aase, Coach Louie Meskill, Ryan Milton, Robert Daugherty and Josh Pohlman represented the Northeast Range Trap Team at the USA State High School National Championship.
In the qualifying event, only the top 400 individual shooters advanced to the finals and it was Nighthawk Kenny Aase who made the cut breaking 97/100 targets.
In round one he shot a 24/25 and followed it up with another in round 2. Round three was a perfect 25/25, his first during competition earning him a league patch.
He finished it off with another solid 24/25 in the final round leaving him in 137th place after the first day of competition. In the finals the following day, Aase shot 88/100 which left the athlete who just completed eighth grade in 344th place at the national competition.
Austin Meskill shot a personal best breaking 90/100, Alex Motes and Ryan Milton both shot 84/100, Josh Pohlman 83/100 and Robert Daugherty 75/100.
