Weidemann, MacCoy first at archery regionals

Via DeBeltz of Ely shot a perfect 50 with all five arrows in the bullseye at the 10 meter line. This was in Hibbing for the Regional Bullseye Tournament

Two Ely archers captured first-place finishes at the regional competition at Hibbing.

Despite the snow, Ely’s End of the Road Archers had a fantastic day for the Regional Bullseye Tournament.

Five Ely participants in all were medalists while Hadyen Weidemann and Aspen MacCoy came home with first place finishes.

Weidemann had a score of 266 to take first place among the fifth-grade boys.

In the fourth-grade girls category, MacCoy was the winner with a score of 235.

Ely’s top overall scorer was Via DeBeltz, who took fourth in the high school girls division with a 281, including a perfect round of 50 with all five arrows in the bullseye at the 10-meter mark.

Laydan Hart was third among middle school boys with a score of 280 and Ryker  Hart was fifth in the fourth-grade boys category at 231.

Bullseye  personal bests went to:  MacCoy, Blake Houde, Garen Weisinger, Jenna Bermel, Laydan Hart, Owen Kurnava, Taylor Hren and Trynn Weisinger.
