A difficult season for the Vermilion Ironhawks ended on Saturday.
Visiting Central Lakes recorded a sweep and ensured that Vermilion would complete a winless season in community college volleyball.
The Raiders got 18 kills from hitter Danielle Kocur in a 25-11, 25-15, 25-21 Northern Division sweep at the Vermilion Gymnasium.
That capped an 0-20 season for the Ironhawks, who were unable to get a victory but did assemble a larger roster than in recent seasons.
Fr esh m a n Ma k ayla Woody notched 23 digs for Vermilion while Aubree Gerlovich, a former Ely Timberwolf and one of the team’s two sophomores, had three kills and 10 digs.
Top hitters were Emily Burns with seven kills and Page Wilson with four.
Burns also had 10 digs and teammate Olivia Keys finished with 12 set assists.
