Pebble Spa going out of business

An Ely business that had also expanded to other areas is slated to close.

According to a social media post made Wednesday, Pebble Spa will close on Nov. 25.

A statement on Pebble Spa’s Facebook page said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share that Pebble Spa is being forced to close. This isn’t how we imagined our story ending — and we truly hope this is not goodbye forever. We are holding on to hope, to love, and to the incredible community that has surrounded us all these years.”

Pebble Spa is located on the 200 block of East Sheridan Street and has been there for several years.

The company has also expanded to locations outside of Ely, including Virginia and Duluth. According to a post on the social media site, the closure affects all Pebble Spa locations.

Another Facebook statement said: “Our last day open will be Nov. 25. Until then, we’ll continue to care for you the best we can, and we ask for your patience and as we navigate this trying time. Here’s what you need to know: Memberships will continue to be honored, and may be shared if you’d like someone else to use your appointments until Nov. 25. Because we are in the midst of bankruptcy, gift cards can legally only be used on retail items, and must be used before Nov. 25.”
