Via DeBeltz closed out her high school swimming career with postseason acclaim.
The Ely senior gained honorable mention to the All-Section 7A High School Girls Swimming Team, which was announced earlier this week.
DeBeltz was a multiyear standout for Northeast Range/Ely and had a dynamic senior season.
She earned a medal at the Section 7A meet in Duluth in early-November, completing the 500 yard freestyle in a career-best time of 5:55.7.
That resulted both in a seventh-place finish and a 7A medal.
DeBelt z also had the next-highest NRE individual showing, placing 11th in the 200 freestyle in 2:13.8. She also joined Tuuli Koivisto, Raegan Borchert and Lucy Luthens on a 10thplace 7A relay team in the 400 freestyle.
Throughout the regular season, DeBeltz regularly won multiple events at dual meets - usually the 200 and 500 freestyles.
DeBeltz was also part of a Nighthawks team that captured a section academic award, with a team grade point average of 3.97 that topped the rest of the 7A rivals.
