This December, the Ely Community Center is bringing the community together with a trio of cheerful holiday events.
Throughout the month, residents can sign up for the Holiday Lights Contest and help brighten Ely with colorful displays. A public voting map will be available beginning Dec. 6, with votes accepted through Dec. 17.
Families can also play along with Holiday Light Bingo, a free drive-around game where participants mark off decorations they spot around town. Cards may be turned in at the Ely Community Center for a prize drawing at the end of the month.
Everything leads up to the Holiday Lights Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5-6 p.m., featuring cookies, cocoa, children’s crafts, and the announcement of this year’s contest winners. The event is open to everyone and is a wonderful opportunity to gather and share some seasonal joy.
