The more books you read, the more entries you earn—and the better your chances to win a prize!

The Babbitt Library will be providing Art of Kumihimo Bracelet Take and Create Kits starting Jan. 5, while supplies last. One per family.

Inspired by the traditional Japanese art form of Kumihimo, create an intricate braided cord bracelet with this Take and Create art experience designed by Minnesota artist Jen Anfinson. Participants will learn the basic techniques of braiding with a disk, creating a beautiful cord that becomes a bracelet. Beginner artists will add their own patterns to make a bracelet as unique as they are. Welcome to your new favorite hobby!

All supplies are provided in the kit and suggestions for additional materials are included. An instructional video for the Take and Create Kits will be provided for this art experience.

This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
