Babbitt Community Calendar

There will be a Valentine’s Day Party at the Babbitt Teen Center on Feb. 13 from 6-10 p.m. for students in grades five through 12. There will be volleyball, pizza, games and more. There is a $2 entry fee.

The Babbitt Figure Skating Club will be hosting an Open Skate from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Free admission.

The Up North Craft and Vendor Extravaganza will be held on June 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Babbitt Municipal Gym. The event coincides with the citywide rummage sale. There will be handmade gifts, bakes goods and raffle drawings. This is a fundraiser for the Babbitt Library. Deadline to register as a vendor is May 6.

Stay Active and Independent for Life (S.A.I.L.) sessions will start up on Jan. 6 with a 9 a.m. and a 10:15 a.m. session each Tuesday and Thursday for 12 weeks. This exercise program is free, and designed for people over 60.

The Babbitt Rec is offering Pickleball for people to come play at the Municipal Building. Contact the rec at 218-827-3568. Pickleball is played every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Municipal Center Gym. All ages and levels are welcome.

Child and teen checkups are preventive health care benefits for children ages birth through 20 who have Minnesota Care or Medical Assistance that provides preventive health visits with the child’s doctor or primary clinic.
