In a final tune-up for section competition, the Ely Nordic Wolves hosted several other schools at Hidden Valley on Jan. 30 for the rescheduled Ely Invitational.
Mother Nature cooperated after extreme cold conditions forced the postponement of the originally scheduled event Jan. 24.
Ely dominated the boys competition, with Oliver Hohenstein cruising to victory in the pursuit with a combined time of 28:24.3, nearly a minute ahead of teammate Aksel Skustad, who took second.
In third was Wyatt Devine to complete a one-two-three Ely sweep.

It was a one-two-three Ely sweep among junior high girls, with Lucy Luthens winning followed by Natalie Bermel and Cosette Brekke.
