The Breitung Police Department was still looking for a missing man as of Thursday morning.
At approximately noon on March 21, Derek Lerfald was last seen leaving the Vermilion Housing Apartment complex on the 100 blocak of Cedar Street in Tower.
He has officially been reported missing. He left the parking lot south bound on foot wearing a dark colored baseball hat, dark long sleeve shirt, and dark pants. He has not been observed or heard from since March 21. Lerfald did not have a phone with him.
He is described as 5’6” and approximately 160 pounds with gray hair and a gray beard.
“We ask that Tower residents check their house and business cameras during the time he went missing. If anyone has any information, please contact the Breitung Police Department at 218-7536660 or 911,” said Daniel Reing, Chief of Police for the Breitung Police Department.
