Northern Lights Clubhouse announces “5K Color Glow Run” and first ever Glow Fest for September

Northern Lights Clubhouse, a program of Well Being Development, is proud to announce the return of its annual 5K Color Glow Run, taking place on Sept. 25, along with the first-ever Glow-Fest.

The Glow Run is a 5K that combines the excitement of a color run with the energy of a nighttime glow event, creating a fun and memorable experience for participants of all ages.

Runners and walkers will travel through a course filled with glowing lights, music, bright colors, and colorful powder stations designed to celebrate hope, resilience, and community spirit.

Glow-Fest is a family- friendly start and finish line festival with food trucks, kids activities and live music from 4-7 p.m. at the Ely Community HUB (760 Miners Drive).

The Glow Run and Fest provides support for the services and mission of Northern Lights Clubhouse, which provides opportunities for adults living with challenges of all types to build community, develop meaningful relationships, and pursue recovery through work, education and wellness programming.

“We want to continue an event that is joyful, welcoming, and community-centered,” said Robyn Bertelsen, program director for NLC. “The 5K Color Glow Run is more than a run - it is a celebration of connection, inclusion, and the importance of wellbeing.”

The Glow Run will feature: • A family-friendly 5K run/walk

• Glow gear and festivities

• Color powder stations

• Cheering stations

• New start and finish line at the Ely Community HUB The first ever Glow-Fest will feature:

• Live music and entertainment • Food trucks

• Kids activities (outside and indoors)

• Community vendors and sponsors

• Mental health awareness activities Registration details, sponsorship opportunities, volunteer information, and event updates will be released in the coming weeks.

Northern Lights Clubhouse is a program of Well Being Development focused on supporting adults living with challenges of all types through community-based recovery services, employment and education opportunities, wellness programming, and social connection.

Well Being Development is a network of programs and collaborations supporting the well-being of the Ely Area Community and its members.
