At the Ely Public Library on Monday, June 22 to Tuesday, June 23, drop off before 3 p.m. on Monday, pick up after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the program will be a Stuffed Animal Sleepover – for the stuffed animal companions of library patrons. Is your stuffie ready for a special adventure? It’s time for a stuffed animal sleepover – the stuffies of Ely are invited to spend the night at the Library and go on a special adventure with Sam (the library’s stuffed animal lion who normally monitors the situation from the top of the shelves behind the desk) and the library staff. You’ll get an email from your stuffie during the night, photos of the adventures and friends it makes, and a special surprise when you pick it up. This program is for kids of all ages; one stuffed animal per person. Please register in advance. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
Arrowhead Regional Development Commission, along with the Arrowhead Coalition of Trails (ACT), is hosting a series of community meetings to explore implementing a “Trail Town” program in the 28+ cities within the Mesabi Trail corridor.
