WAASA TOWNSHIP— Fire crews responded to a fire Thursday morning that destroyed a detached garage at a residence on Salo Road in Waasa Township in Embarrass, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff ’s Office. At 6:32 a.m. on June 18, the St. Louis County Sheriff ’s Office received a report of a detached garage fire on the Salo Road in Waasa Township. A detached pole building style metal garage was burning with heavy equipment nearby belonging to the homeowner.
Fire crews responded quickly and were able to knock down any running fire, according to law enforcement. The garage and contents appear to be a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
