Volunteers in Education, or VinE, is excited to again serve students in the upcoming school year. VinE offers free tutoring services to students in the school districts of St. Louis County, Mt. Iron-Buhl, and Rock Ridge including Northeast Range.
VinE has provided free tutoring services to thousands of students since its founding in 2008 by Arthur Dale. Hundreds of community members have served their local public schools by tutoring with Volunteers in Education.
VinE tutors provide free tutoring services to PK-12 students in all subject areas. By working with students individually or in small groups, tutors provide learning support to help students succeed academically. Tutors help students by reading with them, helping them complete assignments, and preparing for tests. Tutors who work with VinE are placed with students based on their knowledge, experience, and interests.
Looking ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, VinE is actively seeking volunteers to tutor at its partner schools. All community members are encouraged to consider this meaningful community service opportunity. VinE provides comprehensive preservice education to equip volunteers with the tools needed for effectively supporting student learning. In adherence to school policies, all volunteers are required to undergo a background check.
