The Northeast Range high school volleyball team is coming up on the final regular season game on Monday.
“Our last season game will be Monday the 19th home against Nashwauk,” said head coach Misty Roseth. “We will celebrate our parents night.”
Northeast Range played in the Mesabi East tournament on Saturday.
“We played Ely, I-Falls, Hinckley and came out with one win in two sets against Bigfork the fourth game of the day. We came just points away from taking I-Falls and Hinckley a set,” said Roseth.
The Lady Nighthawks traveled to Cherry on Tuesday, falling in three, 19-25, 23-25 and 12-25.
“We would get points ahead and then get stuck. Though each game I see growth in different areas which is great for this young team. That’s a win in itself. The little improvements and increased confidence each game is wonderful to see out of these girls,” said Roseth.
Cherry stats: Miranda Mackai had 100% serving again, 12-12. She had 25-25 at the tournament. Had 17 set assists against Cherry.
Chloe Janeksela had 13 digs and great passing.
Peyson Roseth had four ace serves, six kills and two blocks Kaydence Hancock added five kills, one block and had 10-10 serves with two aces.
