Town of Morse VOTING EQUIPMENT TESTING

Pursuant to Mn. Statutes 206.83, the Clerk will conduct a public accuracy test of optical scan voting equipment to ascertain that the equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all candidates on the ballot for the Township Election to be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. The test will be held at the Morse Town Hall on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 207A.ll, a Presidential Nomination Primary will be held on March 3, 2020 from 7:00AM to 8:00PM at the Winton Community Center, 102 Main Street N.
Presidential primary voters must be registered to vote and must request their choice of party ballot. The party ballot choice will be recorded on the polling place roster and be held as private data except that it will be made available to the chairs of the major political parties in the State of Minnesota.

Notice is hereby given to qualified voters of the TOWN OF MORSE, County of St. Louis, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. In case of inclement weather, the meeting and election may be postponed until the third Tuesday in March, announcement regarding the election will be aired on WELY.

The Election Poll hours will be open from noon to 8 p.m. at which time the voters will elect:

1 (One) Town Supervisor‚ Three year term

Sealed quotes will be accepted at Ely City Hall, Clerk’s Office 209 East Chapman Street until 3 pm Tuesday March 3rd for the brush mowing of approximately four miles of power line right of way. This work is between Burntside Lake and the City of Ely along the water supply line. The work will also include the removal of some large trees encroaching on the overhead power line. The City of Ely reserves the right to reject any and all quotes and award the project in the best interest of the City of Ely.

1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Novak called the Ely City Council meeting to order at 5:31pm.

2. PRESENT: Council members A.Forsman, Kess, Debeltz, Omerza, Callen, Campbell, and Mayor Novak
ABSENT: None

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Debeltz/Callen moved to approve the minutes from the January 7, 2020 Regular Council Meeting. Motion Carried Unanimously.

4. ADDITIONS OR OMISSIONS TO AGENDA:
A. Addition 8.A. Recommendation from Airport Commission to approve proceeding with the quote process for the snow removal equipment.
B. Addition11.B. SEH Invoice 379962 for $129.00 for the Prospector ATV Trail.
Additions A and B were added without objection.
