In a social media post, the city of Babbitt announced fees will be waived for residents making online payments for garbage and water/ sewer bills.
“After hearing concerns from residents and multiple meetings with our processing company, the City of Babbitt has managed to get all ACH payment fees through the online payment portal waived (previously $1.10 per transaction.) There will be a 2.85% fee charged for any credit card transactions and $0.00 charge for any ACH transactions,” the post read.
“Residents are highly encouraged to register their garbage AND water/ sewer accounts online through the city’s website. Even if you don’t pay online, the portal allows residents the opportunity to be notified, immediately, with pertinent city information and view all bills and payments.”
