Ely was very well represented at a national archery tournament in Utah.
Oragnizers extended a gracious “Thank you to everyone that supported our team in their journey to Utah and the 3D and Bullseye National Tournaments. Our team had an incredible day, but most importantly, memories were made.”
An Ely delegation of 19 End of the Road Archers took part, joining 250 schools and 2438 archers in the bullseye tournament and 192 schools and 2061 archers in the 3D tournament. The final tournament in the NASP season is the Championship Tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on June 5 – 7. This tournament is different in that qualification is based on an archers score rather than placement. For elementary, an archer qualifies with a 255 or more; middle school, 275; high school, 280.
Congratulations to the following End of the Road Archers in their qualification to the NASP Championship Tournament.
Bullseye – Hayden Weidemann and Sawyer Kannas; 3D – Sabrah Hart and Hayden Weidemann.
Team qualification is also based on score. For bullseye, a middle school team needs a score of 3,050. Ely came oh-so-close, scoring 3,042.
For 3D, a middle school team needs a 1,425; whereas high school needs a 1,475. Ely’s middle school scored 1,532 and our high school scored 1,586; earning both teams a spot at the 3D Championship Tournament in Myrtle Beach.
Laydan Hart made the 50 Point Club with two perfect scores; one at the bear and one at the turkey.
