The rummage sale room will be open this Saturday, May 17 from 8:30 a.m. - noon at 71 South Drive behind the Municipal Building Babbitt.
Peter Mitchell Days is coming up again and the committee will need
help selling raffle tickets and buttons at Zup’s. She will have shifts Monday-Friday running from 10-12, 12-2 and 2-4. If you can help please call or text Carolyn Holm 218-404-6585 or there will be a book up at Zup’s when people are selling raffles and buttons.
Waasa Township is holding a “ Cemetery Clean-up Day” on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Waasa Cemetery on Kaunonen Lake Road just off Hwy. 21. In case of rain, May 24 will be the alternate day. Volunteers, please bring work gloves and a rake, if you like. Garbage bags will be provided. Note: Cemetery rules state that each family needs to maintain their deceased loved one’s grave.
The Northeast Range Elementary Spring Concert will be on Tuesday, May 20 starting at 1:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. Grades K-3 will be singing individual songs and grades 4-6 will be putting on a musical entitled “Jukebox Time Machine.” This is open to the public and everyone is welcome.
Peter Mitchell Days will be held June 20-22 with the Walleye Whamma Fishing Tournament on June 14.
