We’d like to take a moment to remind everyone to be extra fire aware as we start the summer with very dry conditions. Be sure to follow the Minnesota DNR's fire danger and burning restrictions list. Be extra careful about campfires and any other open flames, even when allowed, and if you see smoke or flames out in the wild please report them swiftly to 911. Our agency continues to work with the Babbitt Fire Department and our regional law enforcement partners in ensuring we are well prepared to respond to any potential wildfire threats. If you have access to social media, you can follow our Babbitt Police Facebook page and the Babbitt Fire Department Facebook page for important updates regarding any natural emergencies that occur near our city.
