At the Ely Public Library on Tuesday, June 17 at 11 a.m. Preschool Games for Preschool-Age Children for preschool ages and caregivers. Registration is not required. Tricia will teach your tots some fun preschool games that are geared for young minds. Get a jump on early learning with some games that you can repeat at home and enjoy with the whole family. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
The June meeting of Ely P.E.O. Chapter FD will be held on Thursday, June 19 at Grace Lutheran Church. They are switching to evening hours so, please note the time change. The historic Toimi School will be hosting their annual midsummer celebration on Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Hutter Bunch Band will be performing. A light lunch will be provided at a minimal charge from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to review the history of the school and the Finnish settlement of the Toimi area. The school is located at the intersection of Lake County 151 (Murphy Lake Rd) and Lake County Highway 15 (Forest Highway 11).
