At the Ely Public Library on Friday, July 11 at 2 p.m. it’s Get Crafty: Awkward Art - for ages 8 to 13. Get ready to craft with Tricia and make some awkward art. The library will supply all the materials for you to follow prompts for setting, subject, and action to plan and create “bad/awkward” art using provided materials. Registration is required.
At the Ely Public Library on Monday, July 14 at 3 p.m. will be a Friends of the Library Book Discussion. The book for discussion this month is Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. You do not need to be a member of Friends of the Library to attend.
The 45th annual Ely Watercolor Club Show and Sale will be held Wednesday, July 16 to Sunday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Miners Dry at the Pioneer Mine.
The Ely Watercross will celebrate its 20th year Aug. 8-10 at the Longbranch in Winton. The event will feature snowmobiles racing on Fall Lake and a concert Saturday night with Ransom and Pop Rocks.
The 10th annual Ride, Raffle ‘N Roll for ALS will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, starting at the Timber Hall Event Center in Embarrass. Pancake breakfast available for purchase and open to the public 8-10 a.m. Ride registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit Never Surrender Inc. through the 2026 Black Woods Blizzard Tour.
