The 45th annual Ely Watercolor Club Show and Sale will be held Wednesday, July 16 to Sunday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Miners Dry at the Pioneer Mine.

Hay Days at the Nelimark Museum, across from Timber Hall, on Hwy. 21 and 4839 Salo Rd. Embarrass July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Explore the early days and lost arts of the pioneer settlers of Embarrass. Take a walking tour of the museum grounds, Visit the petting zoo with local animals. Craft and homemaking demonstrations. There will be a food truck, free coffee and live music.

At the Ely Public Library on Tuesday, July 22 at 2 p.m. the program will be Library Jeopardy – for ages 10 to adult Are you a trivia whiz? Do you know the library inside and out? Put a team together to compete at Library Jeopardy! Please preregister as there are only a limited number of team slots available. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library.

The Braver Angels Ely Alliance invites the public to the second annual July social gathering at Samz’ Place (1225 Winton Rd) on Wednesday, July 23 from 5-7 p.m. There will be free beer or soft drinks, lawn games, prizes and respectful conversation with new and old friends and neighbors.

At the Ely Public Library on Thursday, July 24 the library will open late. The library will be closed this morning in order for all members of the staff to recertify in CPR / First Aid at the city staff safety session. The library will reopen as soon as the training is completed.

The annual Blueberry Bazaar will be held July 25–26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ely Community Center. Over 18 vendors, handmade goods, free admission, air-conditioned shopping during Blueberry/Art Festival weekend.

Ely’s Blueberry/Art Festival will be held in Whiteside Park July 25-27. The Ely Chamber of Commerce said the park will have 278 booth spaces and 229 unique vendors for this year’s event.

Sisu Heritage will host the Mattson Family Singers in concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 27 at the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church, 5103 Hwy 21 in Embarrass. These six siblings grew up in Embarrass and will share stories about that experience, along with the old-time music they learned while growing up. Admission is $10, $8 for Sisu members and children under 12 are free.

Everyone is welcome to play MahJong at the Ely Community Center on Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.

Bingo every Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Ely Community Center. All are welcome, bring your friends for a fun afternoon.

Ely’s first National Night Out event will be August 5, from 4-8 p.m. in Whiteside Park. There will be multiple law enforcement agencies, fire and EMS, bounce houses, a dunk tank, face painting, games and much more.

The Ely Watercross will celebrate its 20th year Aug. 8-10 at the Longbranch in Winton. The event will feature snowmobiles racing on Fall Lake and a concert Saturday night with Ransom and Pop Rocks.
