A Babbitt man faces one felony charge in connection with an August incident in which he allegedly threatened to kill another man.
Scott MacMillan, 55, has been charged with threats of violence/ reckless disregard risk, for an Aug. 10 incident.
According to a charging document filed by the Babbitt Police Department, officers from Babbitt received a report of a disturbance involving neighbors on Fir Circle.
The reporting party, alleged that MacMillan trespassed on his property and threatened him.
According to the alleged victim’s statement, he observed MacMillan “standing on his driveway and cussing him out,” blaming him for reporting him to the city for an unrelated blight issue.
The alleged victim said he tried to explain that he didn’t report him, but that MacMillan continued to insult him and tried to get him to fight him.
A Babbitt officer also spoke to a witness who stated that MacMillan said he would have killed him “if there weren’t cameras here,” and that MacMillan said “Put that phone down, I’ll kill ya right (expletive) now.”
MacMillan is charged with a felony that carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
