Short meeting for Morse board

The Town of Morse board of supervisor held a short meeting on Tuesday, a week earlier than normal due to the annual meeting March 10.

Treasurer Mary Ann Lekatz reported the township accounts at Wells Fargo have been closed out and the monies transferred to Frandsen.

The board also reviewed the fiscal summary for 2025 that showed an increase of about $38,000 in overall township funds.

Supervisor Bob Berrini said he would like to see some roads paved this year, including in Romberg Acres based on available funding. The township started the year with a total fund balance of $279,846.17 including $115,726.99 in the road and bridge fund.

Morse has applied for state funding again for those roads but hasn’t received notification if the application was approved.

Morse received $16,611.55 in gas tax monies in 2026,
