First Annual Friends of the Babbitt Public Library Quilt Show
Saturday, June 6 - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Babbitt Public Library
Quilt Show Entries
Participants may submit: Up to 2 quilts or one small, quilted item, such as: Pillow, Table Runner, Wall Hanging Other quilted creations.
Crowd Favorite Contest: Visitors to the quilt show will vote for their favorite quilt!
Drop-Off Information: Please bring your entries to the Babbitt Public Library between: Monday, June 1 – Friday, June 5.
Calling All Bakers!
The Friends of the Babbitt Public Library are seeking bakers to donate homemade treats for the upcoming Up North Craft & Vendor Extravaganza.
If you are interested in baking, please drop off your items at one of the following times:
Friday, June 5, at the Babbitt Public Library by 6 p.m.
Saturday, June 6 at the Municipal Gym by 8 a.m.
Your delicious donations will help support the Friends of the Babbitt Public Library and the programs they provide for our community. Thank you for your support!

Monday, June 8 at 1 p.m. – Book Bingo
June 10 at 10:30 a.m. -Preschool Storytime: Good Egg, Bad Seed (Meet our summer mascots)
June 10 at 1 p.m. - Elementary Explore Time: Plant a Seed, Read (Eat edible food art & take home a seed bomb)
June 10 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. -Teens & Pre-Teens-Teens: T-Rex Terrariums (Learn how a mini ecosystem works & put together mini mason jar terrarium with succulents & prehistoric figurine.)
June 12 at 3:30 p.m.- Jolly Pops. The Jolly Pops combine upbeat, original music with some children’s standards for a concert that is sure to please kids and adults alike. Take a fun ride with the Happy Dads and their puppet friends as they sing about alligator dancing, popsicles, trains, pet dinosaurs…and everything in between! This program, sponsored by the Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from the MN Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
