The Northeast Range high school volleyball team played in its final regular season game on Monday.
“We had our last season home game tonight against Nashwauk and our parents night. Nice to have a full house,” said head coach Misty Roseth.
The Lady Nighthawks fell in three, 19-25, 20-25 and 19-25.
“We lost in three, but not without some long fun competitive volleys. The girls really showed some of their individual growth tonight and that made the whole night. Seeing the less experienced girls rise up and get some kills, ace serves and learning the game is what it’s all about,” said Roseth.
Freshman setter Miranda Mackai had 21 set assists, 100% serves 10-10 and three kills and five digs.
Senior libero Chloe Janeksela had two kills and 14 digs.
Junior Peyson Roseth with nine kills, two ace serves, three blocks, eight digs.
Freshman Breauna Warren had an ace serve, one block, one kill and three digs.
Senior middle Kaydence Hancock had two ace serves, two blocks, eight kills and five digs.
Sophomore Bridgett Stern was 9-9 serves with one ace and one kill.
Eighth grader Madison Fisher was 6-6 serving with one ace, one kill and three digs.
Freshman Jayden Gorecki was 100% serves, going 8-8.
“So proud of these girls! Their future looks bright,” said Roseth.
The Nighthawks will be in the first round of the Section 7A playoffs on Oct.26.
