The Northeast Range high school volleyball team played in its final regular season game on Monday.
“Playoff game in Ely tonight! Which was a huge positive for us! Taking seed #7 this year and not having a (play in) game was a win in itself! These girls are growing each year,” said head coach Misty Roseth.
“We had a great first set! 17-25, it felt great to see these girls playing offensively and getting kills!
“Second and third set got a little rocky. 11-25, 12-25. Ely came out swinging, and we struggled getting a piece of it with our block and digs! Great hitting team!
“All in all it was nice coming out of the games feeling good and hearing multiple compliments of the growth in our team this year! And I agree!”
Statistics against Ely: “Freshman-Miranda Mackai 9-9 serves, one ace and 17 set assists. She was so close to serving 100% for the year! Awesome to see.
“Senior Chloe Janeksela had 11 digs, we will miss her! Junior Peyson Roseth had nine kills and four blocks. Freshman Breauna Warren had 100% serves, six-forsix and one kill.
“Senior Kaydence Hancock 100% serves six-for-six, one ace, one kill, one block, Bridgett Stern was three-for-three serves and two kills. Jayden Gorecki had a great night with five kills.
“Lilly Pulkinen went in and made some great plays in the end of the third set, three-for-three serves, one ace and a great dig!”
