Tour Ely like never before with new brochure out now

The Tour Ely Brochure is hot off the press and available in card racks throughout the Ely-Winton area.

Featuring a broad and interesting collection of 60 sites, the brochure highlights the rich culture and heritage of the community.

The Tour Ely Brochure was developed by the volunteers of the City of Ely’s Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC). Margaret Egan and Pam Turnbull cochair the commission.

“We knew there was a great story to share through these sites, one that helps to understand why locals and visitors love Ely!” said Egan.

The brochure lists the 60 sites and also has a map. More photos and site details can be viewed by using the QR code to get to the website. A sticker with a QR code will be posted on storefronts to make it easy to access the tour materials. The tour is intended to be self-guided so you can explore one or all of the sites.

Partners joining the commission on the project included the Ely-Winton Historical Society, Ely Chamber of Commerce and the Ely Area Tourism Bureau.

“The brochure had been in the works for quite a while,” said Turnbull. “It really gained momentum with marketing, design, and web services the Ely Area Tourism Bureau contributed to the project. A grant from the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board helped to finance the project along with funding and contributions from our partners.”
