Heritage Fest at Ely’s Historic Pioneer Mine in the Miners Dry is a daylong event celebrating Iron Range Heritage. The event will be held at Ely’s Pioneer Mine on Saturday, August 16th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The event features food, live music, a Slovenian Polka Party, refreshments, a bake sale with ethnic favorites, and free Pioneer Mine Museum tours.
Music starts at 11 a.m. with the Solkela Polka Band, followed by live accordion music at the Polka Dance Party from 2:30-4:30 p.m., a Polka Jam Session from 4:30--5:30 p.m. and then classic rock by Ranger Things starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m., all in Miners Dry.
The event is sponsored by the Ely Arts and Heritage Center, the Slovenian Union of America, Twin Metals Minnesota and the Ely Echo.

Admission to this event is free and open to the public. The Miners Dry is located at 105 Miners Lake Landing Road in Ely (across from Grand Ely Lodge).
