Season comes to an end for Northeast Range

“The season has come to an end for Northeast Range,” said Northeast Range volleyball team head coach Misty Roseth. “It was a tough season, but the girls did not give up.”

Northeast Range travelled to Chisholm on Wednesday night to play Bigfork in a first round game for the Section 7A volleyball tournament. NER lost 3-1 to Bigfork, 17-25, 25-20, 8-25 and 14-25. The Nighthawks finished the season with one win.

“Our serving killed us tonight when we really needed those points,” said Roseth.

Leading the way for the Nighthawks was Peyson Roseth who had nine kills and 11 digs. Kaydence Hancock had six kills and five ace serves, Chloe Janeksela had three kills and 17 digs, senior had one kill and four ace serves, eighth grader Miranda Mackai had 16 digs and was 11-11 on serves with an ace and senior Ezra Chamberlin had 100% serves, going eight-for-eight with one ace.

“We have a young team with a bright future. And this season was another stepping stone in their journey. Not having a lot of kids on the team, these girls sure do make the best of it. We did a lot of different lineups and tried new things and they are one flexible team that will be very diverse for the upcoming years. We did not end with a great record at all, but this team always shows up in good spirits. It’s been a joy coaching all of these years,” said coach Roseth.
