On Sept. 13, around 12:45 a.m., The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV rollover near the 8100 block of Pulkinen Road. The caller reported a side by side rolled over near a turn in the roadway with two people injured.
Area first responders arrived on scene and provided medical attention to the parties involved. The driver, Tyler Bryan Edlund, a 32-year-old male from Babbitt, was transported to an area hospital by air medical due to the severity of his injuries. The female passenger, Aili Lorraine Bee, a 22-year-old from Babbitt, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for her injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor. There were no witnesses to the crash, however, it is believed both parties were ejected from the side by side. The occupants were not wearing helmets.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by area am bulance services, air medical, and area fire departments.
