The Chapman Street Block Party, which had its inaugural year in 2025, is returning on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Hosted by Boundary Waters Connect and Potluck Kitchenware, with the support of many Chapman Street businesses, this event is set to be even better this year.
The event will take place on the same night as Public Safety Night again making it easy for attendees to come to both events.
The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. where people can gather at Puddle Jumper Park to pick up the booklet overview of the activities.
There will be remarks at 5:20 p.m. before shops, games, and music will begin. Appetizers, catered by Boundary Waters Kitchen & Market, will be placed throughout Chapman Street in sponsor storefronts. Drinks and desserts will be in Puddle Jumper Park.
Closing remarks will happen at 6:30 p.m. before the event concludes at 7 p.m.

This year the Chapman Street Block Party will include: • Street closure of Chapman Street between Central Avenue and Second Avenue.
• Games provided by Young Life
• Balloon decor from Color Social
• Live music with the Chicka Dee Dee Dees
• Seating available throughout the event
• Face painting
• A bingo-style scavenger hunt game similar to last year The event is intended for people to make new friends and shine a light on Chapman Street.
Also that evening at Minnesota North Vermilion Campus will be the production of The Root Beer Lady starting at 7 p.m.
